Let’s make a bargain!


This is one of the main tasks of a broker. However, bargaining is possible not only from the charge - as many may think -, but also from the terms and conditions; and this could be a must in certain cases. It is not necessarily required to accept the standard, public terms, conditions or rules, especially if their application is cumbersome, requires a lot of administrative work, or difficult to be carried out for some other reason.


Nevertheless the tsk is far from being easy; a long term balance needs to be established between the insurance charge and the devolved risk as much as possible, in a way that there is no harm to the interests of any of the parties. The price and the applicable terms and conditions shall be analysed together, within the frameworks of the same system; focusing only at the price - for lack of expertise - means nothing else, compromise; this is the worst the Client may make, as by doing so - without being aware of that - he can easily lay the foundations of his future claim to be rejected. In short, bargain is a must, but not only with the insurance companies, but sometimes also with yourself, distinguished Client.
